John Russell is a founding partner of the law firm McCoy Russell LLP, based in Portland, OR. John obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and began his career as an engineer at Ford Motor Company, where he implemented feedback control systems and signal processing techniques before transitioning to the intellectual property department at Ford. At McCoy Russell, Anna represents clients in all aspects of patent and trademark matters, including licensing and managing patent and trademark portfolios, patentability studies, trademark use and registration studies, patent non-infringement and invalidity studies, and preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications before the USPTO. She has drafted and prosecuted patents in a broad range of technical fields.
Jennifer Johnson is a technical specialist at McCoy Russell LLP, based in Portland, OR. Jennifer has a Ph.D. in medical genetics from Oregon Health Sciences University, where she studied DNA repair. Jennifer has nearly seven years of experience working on intellectual property matters related to technological advances in the industrial space, such as advances related to automobile industries, commercial vehicle industries, and locomotives.
